We were approached by the Canadian arm of Walt Disney Pictures to create a promotional piece to be included in their mailer campaigns. With the coming release of their animated film Raya and The Last Dragon, a fictional travel guide for the areas seen in the film was settled on. The challenge came in creating an eye-catching piece that would excite kids and sell their parents on the film while coming unsolicited through the mail.

 

The interior pages were completed before the map and film stills were sent over to account for our deadlines, so some adjustment had to be made once the assets were received. The piece was sent out to and reviewed by Disney’s VP of marketing as well as executives at Pixar. Very few notes were made during the review process. We also created a French language version of the travel guide for the Quebec market.
